1993 Land Rover Defender 130 Pickup

Bids & Comments 4x4DefenderDieselLand Rover

TFL’s Take: This gray-market Defender 130 diesel with U.S.-correct left-side driver’s seat is a true go-anywhere off-roader/work truck with an updated infotainment system. And beyond that, it’s the straight-forward no-nonsense Defender that made Land Rover’s reputation. The diesel is not quick, but it gets the job done, moving this beast up and over and through nearly anything in it’s path. Despite rust issues on the doors, bed, and frame, this Land Rover still runs and drives like, well, a Defender. We’re excited to see where bidders take this auction as this Defender’s a special find for TFLbids.

Can you elaborate on condition of the doors? Functional at the moment? Rusted and will need replacing soon? Estimated life remaining?

I’ve reached out to the seller to get an answer for you. Still waiting on him.

      From the Seller:
I just looked at the doors, and they are serviceable, but that is all. The rust does not appear to have gone all the way through, but is deeper than anything I would call “surface rust”. At best, the locks are questionable. Remaining life is hard to predict. They don’t appear to be on the verge of falling off, but I would not expect to get more than a year or two out of them.
