TFL’s Take: This well-built Jeep WJ was recently featured on TFLoffroad, taking on the proven TFL “Tough T” VW Touareg at the Cliffhanger 1.0 trail.  The WJ walked right up every obstacle with ease and didn’t slip a wheel once.  This rig really impressed us (no other vehicle we’ve tested has made Cliffhanger 1.0 look that easy).  And now it could be yours!

Overview:

  • For auction: 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4X4 with 221,728 miles on the odometer as this auction goes live.
  • This Jeep is paid off. There are no outstanding liens against it.

Owner comments:

Adult owned (2nd owner), clean title, garage kept, no accidents, non-smoker, no pets, reliable (everything works), Mobile 1 /Wix filter every 5k (or less), always 91 octane.

Known issues:

  • Previous owner nicked the garage
  • Rust under rear driver side passenger door
  • Leaks oil

Will this be relisted since reserve price was no reached?

  2. Lou

My understanding of lockers is that installing a permament (non disconnectable) rear locker in an full time AWD WJ would make it undrivable safely on paved roads. Please explain.

    • Yota-you

I am not the seller however I have the same vehicle with an Aussie in the rear, Detroit truetrac in the front, same lift but different tires. As with any modified vehicle there will be some changes in how it drives but the Quadra II system is 2wd unless the rears spin faster than the fronts so normally you just get the feeling of a rear locker in 2wd. I’m not sure how most of these trucks are but mine locks the torque convertor at 4k rpm during a hill decent in low range which is an awesome feature and they are very comfortable and reliable trucks.

Does this auction have a reserve?

    • Stevesgarage

Well if I would read the faq I would have known the answer to my question. Sorry

  4. Stevesgarage

How bad is the oil leak? I am guessing minor. But I have to ask before I bid.

    • Alex Lightman

Goes down about half a quart in between oil changes according to the owner.
